PUPPIES

We try to plan 1-3 litters of purebred Wirehaired Pointing Griffons a year. Of course that is subject to the cooperation of the dogs!

WE CHOOSE NOT TO ADVERTISE, our relationships are built at NAVHDA & AKC Hunt Tests. Our typical wait for a puppy is 4 months to 1 year. Once we open a breeding for placement, we will select homes from the applications submitted and then require a refundable deposit. The total price for a puppy is currently $2700. We will post this news on this page of our website, our Facebook page, and our Instagram accounts (Stubborn Ass Kennel & SAK’S Griffons).

Our next litter is planned for October 2024 with Ivy.

As members of the American Wirehaired Pointing Griffon Association (AWPGA) we make the following Best Breeders Practices Commitments:

* We will not breed dogs that have not passed hip, elbow, thyroid and eye certifications.
* We will not breed dogs that are carriers of the KY genetic color defect to another carrier.
* We will not breed female dogs before two years of age.
*We will not breed dogs that fail to meet breed standards or have disqualifying flaws.
* We will not breed dogs that lack proven hunting instincts.
* We agree to help you find a new home for your dog or take it back, if at some point, you are no longer able to care for it.
* All puppies are micro chipped, de-wormed, with shots current and a health check from our vet.  Puppies will have AKC Limited registration.  Limited is breeding restricted.  If you desire full registration, we require co-ownership and/or certain commitments.

Our breeding program is RECOGNIZED by the AKC
